About the Farm
Woodthorpes is a family-owned farm in the beautiful Suffolk countryside. Independent (and out of sight) from the main home, you’ll be surrounded by open fields and peaceful grazing horses. There are many wonderful routes for walking and bike riding which makes our 70 acre farm the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

About the Area
You’ll be staying on the doorstep of Arger Fen, a large nature reserve and beauty spot, which you can reach easily by foot. A short walk will take you into the village of Assington which has a gastropub, cafe and farmshop offering local produce.
Nearby is the historic and popular tourist town of Lavenham – a Harry Potter filming location. Five minutes by car are two golf courses, a spa and gin tasting distillery. With lots of picturesque villages nearby, there’s plenty of ways to relax or unwind, in this stunning part of Suffolk.

We’re Liz and Sam and live on the farm with our two young sons and two dogs. We’ve been here for more than eight years and we love our lifestyle in this green and peaceful part of England. We can’t wait to welcome you for your glamping experience.
