The Crown, Stoke by Nayland

This traditional village pub is situated in the heart of Constable country, nestled on the Suffolk border. At the heart of Dedham Vale, Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), The Crown is the perfect base to explore Constable Country. Leave the car behind and explore historic Stoke-by-Nayland on foot. You’ll find the village church, St Mary. The church dates back to the 15th Century and features striking medieval doors and a tall red brick tower. The tower can be seen from far and wide and features in landscape paintings by renowned artist John Constable. Ramble by the River Box and take in the beauty of our neighbouring village, Polstead, before heading back to The Crown for a hearty supper.
